Green Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Hey Eurobricks! As excited as I am for the new X-Men film, I thought it would be fun making the Sentinels from the film. I started with the Future Sentinel, but he's currently dismantled and undergoing redesigns. And due to the somewhat disappointment I had with the official LEGO 'classic' Sentinel, I went ahead and built the Sentinel of the Past. My favourite part would have to be the head. I think I capture the look and size very well. The body is good, I think the design is in the right direction, but could use some different element work. The arms do their job well, but my biggest problem was the legs. I had a LOT of trouble getting them to a point where I was satisfied, but unfortunately they are incredibly stiff and the detail is terrible. I honestly just mixed a bunch of grates and tiles. I tried my best to make it the correct size to a minifigure, but alas, things have a way of not working out. NOTE: I am aware a HF armour piece is missing on its left arm. I am sorry, it was in use on another project. It would have been difficult for me to create the glass over its face, so I decided to leave it as it is. Trask Industries: Solving Tomorrow's Problems, Today. Feedback is always appreciated immensely! I will hopefully be back soon with the Future Sentinel. Green. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 A-Mazing! It looks very accurate, excellent job. My only grip is the waist/legs looks a little blocky. Are the others your making?? Quote
Internets Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I like it. Like the previous poster said, maybe a little blocky but in fairness that almost lends an 'official' quality to it : ) Quote
TristanLoganLoki Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 thats cool, would be hard to get the "visor" dont blame you leaving it off Quote
