I have never tried something that large. But if I were, I would only look at the face and try to rebuild it flat in LEGO Digital Design. Once you get the level of detail you want for the face, you have established the scale you would want for the whole thing.

The white highlight in the eyes appears to be 2 studs by 2 studs.

I am guessing it was built with 2x4 and 2x2 bricks.

When you're making a large Lego sculpture of a Lego character, you need only multiply the width and height in bricks by whatever scale you wish to build at (the one you posted is at a 20x scale, so for instance her ears are each 20 studs wide and 13 bricks tall).

For a large model like this (especially in such a relatively-rare color) you should also build it digitally first to make sure you use only what bricks are needed to make it accurate and sturdy, leaving hollow spaces inside and figuring out exactly how many parts you need in each color.

could you please give me a example? the kitty at my picture is really very big :) and i know it coast a lot of money to build that -.-

i like i mini version of that maybe about 7.87 inch i think (its for my desk :P)

I got today a lot of information abbout LDD and it was really exiting to see what is possible to do with this amazing program. and how difficult could it be to bulid a sculpture. i really very interesting of this amazing programm :)

Agreed with everyone else... start much smaller! The MOC you originally posted would require a small fortune in bricks. I like the one Bob de Quatre just posted, it uses SNOT for the face which gives you a lot of flexibility to design and give Unikitty different facial expressions. You could probably even scale that down by another half or quarter size and still have a very convincing Unikitty.

You can use LDD to design and get a parts count, but I find the best way is just to get a pile of bricks and start playing.

You'll need lots of pink...
