epicturez Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Hi people, This is my first post in the eurobricks forum. I make brickfilms on a regular basis. I would like to share a brickfilm I made a while back with you guys: I hope you like it and I would like to receive feedback from you on how to make the next one even better. Quote
jluck Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Ok you've got some great stuff going for you. Obviously, you have a way to animate things like gunfire and the likes which is awesome. Your builds look good as well. You've definitely put in a lot of work. Here our my thoughts to get even better. I'd suggest slowing down a bit. Focus on your walk cycle and cutting down on "bumps". This will cause the film to feel less jerky. How many FPS do you shoot at? Quote
epicturez Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Thanks for your tips! I'll defintely put more attention to that when animating. The film was shot at 12 FPS. Gunfire, explosions and the like were added as visual effects in post production. Quote
jluck Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Cool, I've worked at 15 fps. A little more work but it generally feels smooth. I like what you went for with using non lego elements for the ground, it's just difficult to avoid "bumps" with things like blankets. Still, you've got a good product so keep it up! Quote
