I came by this Lego City Playmat. It looks really nice, but I'm sort of biased because I always loved these things when I was a kid.

Speaking as an adult, how cool are the Lego playmats? I saw a couple of pics on the internet, and they look nice, but my real concern is: how useful are they in a Lego city? Can you mix them with roadplates? And if so, do they look nice? How do they look in a Lego city, among modular buildings?
