Nachapon Bricks Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) These funny hundred of random colors/decals/wigs minifigs took less than one minute! Finally a beta version of excel minifig generator. The idea is to separate lxfml bricks strings into many cells for excel functions to vlookup/randbetween/calculate/duplicate the colors/parts/decals/transformations. Then another cell concatenate them back together, copy and paste into lxfml then open in LDD. Maybe a mirror build generator also possible. Calabar Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 @bbqqq It seems you forgot to attach the xls file. Quote
bak318 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 That's a great way to get a random crowd. Is there a way to make it less random? I'm right in the middle of building an operahouse. I need to fill 288 seats with random figures but in a way that they look "normal". I mean that they can actually be in an opera, so no skull faces or wearing pizza's (although it's real funny). Quote
Yooha Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) I have no idea how it was done and how it can be useful, but that looks brilliant. I spend a few minutes just to observe those crazy figs. It's strange that the overall color palette looks pink/orange to me. Is it only psychology, or there are some colors that are more rare than others? (like black, white, grey) Edited April 11, 2014 by Yooha Quote
JM1971 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Can you upload the lfx with this guy in please, because the faces are random too there is no way to do this without your app, he's great. Edited April 11, 2014 by JM1971 Quote
Nachapon Bricks Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Some improvement: -Random decals at foot / side of leg / hat or wig / head back & top. -Random multi-colors of hat or wig. -Skin color control. (free pick, uneven random percentage) -Trans or non-trans (only/both) color control. -Symmetry or not, control. -Wig or hat (only/both) control. bbqqq07r by Nachapon S., on Flickr Thats really great, 6th from the left on the second row from the front is my fav (on the first pic). JM1971 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Must be thousands of possibilities available and I've never seen two characters the same so your app is working very well. Quote
