60004 City Fire Station

So, there are no reviews for it on here, but my town needs a Fire Station. To me, it's not that great, but it's looks like a decent place to start. They are on clearance at my local Kmart for $63.00

So I guess I'm just asking why shouldn't I buy it?

I'd buy it for that much just to get the garage doors from the set - plus the type of pieces you get. And again, I always look at the sets for parts. You can always MOD it later...if you desire.

I look at sets, as most of you most likely do, as 1: it's awesome on its own and 2: I can't live without those parts!

But the funny thing about this set is that it doesn't fall under either of those. But It does seem like an ok place to start for modding or MOCing.

And for $63.00, I'll probabley kick myself later for NOT getting it.

Personally I think this is the best CITY Fire Station they have done. It's a nice, tall building with plenty of windows, plates, and the always welcome garage door parts. The design of the building is similar to this year's Police Station, making them great companion pieces. The main fire truck is great, although I would have preferred a flat windshield instead of the sloped one. It's also the first CITY version to include a helicopter, making this fire station a "one stop shop" for all your firefighting needs- you really don't need to get anything else, although I did anyway!

I gladly paid $100 for this set last year, so an almost 40% savings would be an incredible value for me.

Yeah I made the mistake of not buying the last Police Station for around $60 from Amazon last year. Two garage doors, all those windows, such a mistake. The fire station doesn't have as many windows, but it's still like 40% off.
