Lego scene in The Walking Dead finale last night

In a flashback to the prison you see a kid named Patrick sitting on the floor building with lego,..building a car. He looks to be about 15 or so.

Rick walks by and Patrick thanks him for finding the bricks, Rick says something like, "no problem."

Patrick responds, "I don't feel ashamed even though they're meant for kids 8-12"

Rick answers, "You shouldn't"

...just thought that was kind of cool.

Was not expecting a small discussion on Lego in the middle of a tv show about the Zombie Apocalypse.

(scene was about 15 minutes or so into the episode)

Kinda cool.

Long overdue for a Lego scene in post apocalyptic media.

Everyone needs to know not even a zombie apoc will keep anyone from their Lego.

Walking Dead puts LEGO in their zombie universe, I'm busy putting zombies in my LEGO universe. :)

Some screen caps, the bricks got a serious hero style close up.

Also I had the time frame wrong, it's at about the 31-32 minute mark.

Now that I look closely I see a dimple in the stud, so I guess they're not Lego brand but Kre-O?

They were called Lego in the show though I'm pretty sure,...I'll check again.

edit:

my apologies, he doesn't use the word, he just says, "thanks for grabbing these." and "I'm not ashamed they're for ages 4 to 12."

Rick pats his shoulder and says, "you shouldn't be."

Sorry if my enthusiasm for seeing bricks in the show made me commit a Lego forum faux pas

Zombies and Lego just makes me wish that they'd put zombie heads in the Build-a-Figure bin at the Lego Store. They'd sell a lot more minifigures if they did that!
