HomerJSimpson Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) So, I want to collect the simpsons minifigs, 2 whole collections of them. Instead of spending $128 on 2 collections, with a chance of not getting a certain one I'm looking for, I want to buy a whole box. How much is buying one whole box of minifigures? Also, can I ask a lego store employee for a complete, sealed box? I really don't collect CMFs, I have only about 9 in total, and I'm not a good feeler for the bags.Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, HomerJSimpson Edited March 27, 2014 by HomerJSimpson Quote
Darkdragon Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 The LEGO Store won't sell you a full box, only 16 figs at once random. When I buy full box it is usually at Toys R Us and is the price of the figure pack x60. So Simpsons will probably be $4.49 each at TRU...that is $269.40 plus your local sales tax. Quote

Ryker_Hill Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 At my walmart and Toy's R Us they range from $2,50-3.00 each. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I know Toys R Us will if they have enough boxes in the back. A colleague in my LUG used to work there. But it is the price per figure x number of packs in a box. With the inflation of prices, I agree with what Darkdragon is assuming to be true. That would be much higher than your total cost of $128 ($3.99 x 32) plus tax, but less legwork. Plus, you'd have extras to sell to try to make up the difference, but I still think you'd lose money on the deal. Even if you were able to break even on the rest of the figures in the box, you'd still be spending more. Now it all depends on where you get the initial box. I'd prefer to only buy one complete set and the few spares for my daughter and save a lot more money. The only problem is as you described, you might miss out on some or have to take your time in looking for them. Hopefully it won't sell out as quickly as the LEGO movie figures did. I hardly saw them crop up at all around here. Thankfully I got the complete set right away, but not long after that I never saw them in stock anywhere again (including TRU which usually has tons). locoworks Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I was told that every box of 60 has atleast 1 of each character in it. it would be nice if it had 3 of each and 4 of the perceived popular ones. Quote
