ecwp1981 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 (edited) Hi there everyone, I am Elvin from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. When I was little my parents bought a couple of lego sets ie the Kings Castle 6080 and some other small sets to accessorize the larger one.My parents slowly discouraged me from playing with them as they kept pointing out that they are mean for 5 to 12 years of age (as printed on the boxes) Now, having my own kids and home, I started to collect the sets which I wanted as a kid. After collecting all the sets I wanted, I slowly went into looking for certain themes and characters in lego. However, while searching on google, I found that there are people customizing their minifigures by printing and even painting them. Which, brought me to this forum. So far, the only minifigs I have customized are just using unmodified parts from various sets and bashing them together. Here are someof the latest items I have been working on: Zorro (hat from lego minifig musketeer, torso from star wars, generic black legs asm, masked head from lone ranger, custom 3rd party sword) The Three Musketeers (swapped heads with other heads to give them each a different look :) ) Cardinal Guards and Rochefort Well, thats all the customization from me for the moment. I am working on a character from Capcom (Strider Hiryu) and might post it once I get it done. See you guys around ;) Edited March 26, 2014 by ecwp1981 Quote
eurotrash Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Welcome to the forums Elvin! Those minifig customisations look very impressive. Quote
CptPJs Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Hey :) I'm in Newcastle too! I think there's a fair few AFOLs in Newcastle actually because the Metrocentre Lego Store is always full of adults buying for themselves. Quote
ecwp1981 Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Hello everyone, and thanks for the welcome lol. Yup there is a new lego store in metro center. only been there once or twice. I wish they would open a huge shop with all the range of legos in there rather than the normal looking store. Quote
snaillad Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Welcome to the forum! I also live in Tyneside. Your customizations look pretty good! Quote
