Got (and kept) this promo-flyer since 1990, due to introduction of the new Model Team series in Germany.

Don't know if it's an official Lego printing (BL doesn't list it) or if it was custom-made by "Spielzeug Ring" toy store chain.

It also contains a mathematical competition, first prize was a trip to Legoland Denmark.

Anybody seen this in other german regions, or even in other languages?

Hi, no I've not seen this... but it has all the signs of being a SPIELZEUGRING product.

TLG based products have numeric numbers on them, and sometimes mention the printer company.

TLG started using print numbers in late 1961... as 3 digit numbers in ascending order. It then went to 4 digit numbers, and by the 1970s it went to 5 digit (ascending) numbers, and later the ascending numbering went to 6 digits and beyond.

Here's an early example of a USA Samsonite 4 digit brochure that is TLG sanctioned. It says "FORM NO 2369", which helps identify it as dating to about 1964.

Without an identifying paper item number, the MODEL TEAM TRUCK brochure was likely a product of the German Toy Association... and not TLG.

Okay, next time I'l be at home I'll look for a TLG number.

Thought it could be an official printing, because of the usage of the logo and because of the first prize.

I have several of this in Spanish, even one from the 80's in German with an Amaing contest of TECHNIC with Supercar II.

They are official, and could be catalogued in Bricklink.

Some examples in Spanish:

1994 Medium Spanish (923.325-E) - c94es2

LEGO 1980 Medium Duplo Spanish (99721-E) with Contest - con concurso - c80esd

LEGO 1992 Insert - Legoland Conquest Promotion (9220038-E) - c92esin

In bricklink there are a lot of this contests sheet in several languages (Example) ... but it is still pending this TECHNIC I referred before:

I will re-start my project this summer, collecting this type of catalog/ads. Apart from Spanish, I also have in French and German

Thanks for sharing this. I already tried to upload the Model Team contest to BL, but they rejected it.

This is probably due to missing code which exist if flyer/catalog is issued by LEGO or sanctioned to be issued. Like links above have these codes: c94es2, c80esd, c92esin.

If you want to share with me those flyers from LEGO, you can send to my email an scanned copy from both sides of sheet. (I don't know if it's public, but also it is in my blog. I don't type specifically here because of spam a/o rules)

I collect all type of publications of this type and I am really grateful. Of course I credit you as "Scan by [Nickname]"

Thanks for sharing you too ^^
