Recently I get 2 defected lego parts in just a small polybag.. lego movie polybag 30282.

I have sended an email to lego.com. And they just send me an automated email.

After 2 days there ain't any action or reply from lego.com.

I feel frustrated.. is there anyone also encounter same problem with the polybag 30282?

Looks like it was damaged in the store, like run over by a shopping cart before put on the shelf. Either way, just go on LEGO.com to the lego part replacement section in customer service.

I have done it, but lego.com didn't reply me for 3 days.

In my opinion, it was not damaged in store, as the lego is quite solid, impossible to bend the white color part just a corner. If you try to bend it .. i think i will be broken before you can bend into this shape.

I think it's quite possible to bend it like that, and I don't see how it could have come out of the mold that way. Perhaps it was still warm and pliable after coming out of the mold, and got bent immediately after being made, but I do think it's entirely possible for it to have been bent like that after being packaged. The same should be true of the visor, though for that I'm much more surprised that it bent rather than breaking, as the transparent elements tend to be more brittle than the opaque ones.

The visor is incidentally one of those elements for which there's usually a spare in a set that includes it, so normally having one bent like this wouldn't be a problem. Was this the only one in the set's polybag?

The visor have spare , but the white color brick dont have any spare. It make the set incomplete.

Have you used the LEGO.com customer service page for your set to contact TLG?

yes i do send a message to lego.com , after 4 days there is no reply or any comment from them. It was disappointed and unlucky to get a defected parts. I think they wont reply and they think that this is fraud, as they dont have a system to update the picture. Now a days those poly bag quality is getting down? "here's my 2 cents"

Where did you buy the polybag? Which country are you in?

I brought the polybag via US seller. and im in malaysia. Maybe anotther reason they don't entertain is coz of the country? In malaysia have lego land... but there is no service support at malaysia. Kinda funny lol

I've bought used collections where a hinge had the same damage (bent), and on a white brick the stress from crushing is less obvious. As others have said, it was very likely crushed in the retail store or quite possibly in the mail on its way to you. LEGO is pretty durable but I've probably tossed hundreds of parts that have been damaged beyond use. In a poly bag they are more susceptible to crushing.

Did you send it using the link I provided you where you mark which parts and the reason for it? Where did you send your mail and what was the answer?

Yes there is:

What do you mean you bought it via an US seller? Didn´t you buy it from a toy shop selling Lego or directly from Lego? Because if you bought from example Bricklink I really think you should contact that seller also!

How could a white hinge could only damaged 1 side and not the other side? if the visor is damaged by mail crushed, i still can accept as it have spare. IT was not USED PARTS.. it was brand new from the poly. IT was hard to accept that when i get this defected parts.

Did you use the brick replacement service, or did you just send an e-mail to a generic, catch-all address?

I mean, if you don't use the tools provided, you can't expect them to jump through hoops immediately. Lots of places that gets large volumes of e-mail use computers to sort through it, and if the computer sent it on to the wrong place, it might never get answered, or to the right department. When I've submitted missing brick reports through the proper tool, I usually get an automated response within a minute or two. The fact you haven't gotten any response in a week means you probably aren't going to get one.

Go back to lego.co.my or whatever it should be, and fill out the missing/damaged brick from the right way. I promise that you'll get an answer right away.

And it doesn't matter that you bought a US polybag. I could order replacement bricks for my Marina Bay Sands if I needed them, so the reverse should be true, too.

We seem to maybe misunderstand each others post because I don´t understand how you´ve contacted Lego, so please answer this:

Have you used the LEGO.com customer service page for your set?

lego_customer_service_parts.jpg

Or have you contacted Lego through the mail contact page?

lego_customer_service_mail.jpg

Or have you used another e-mail contact adress? Could you please answer which one of the three, it would help me in helping you!
