Is this too good to be true?

I just bit and ordered 2 Horizon Express from them :

http://shop.vitanes....argo-train.html

Prices seem too good to be true, as in why buy Lego from anywhere else? Question is, has anyone else used them?

Started showing up adds for them under ebay searches and listings, so I check it out.

Also placed a KO track order from A2Ztoystore and becoming a little worried about it just because communication is so slow and painful with them. I can't tell my son anything because I don't want him to be heartbroken if something doesn't come thru.

My order was confirmed and then a week or so later was being prepared to ship and now the trail has gone cold.(Yes I keep trying to contact and will update as it changes)

Thanks in advance

I would be interested to see how that turns out, it looks like they are selling Lego's end of line products making way for the new 2014 stock. there is a store near here that does the same thing.

I would use a protected pay source if you can, like paypal or something.

Keep us posted as to how it turns out.

I used Bill me Later aka paypal, figured it was worth a shot at the vtn store.

A2Ztoystore I have no info other than what I posed thus far, was hoping someone else had used them as well.

I hope it turns out well, but their about page looks totally fake.

We're reseller partner of Lego Company. We give you best price of this products.

You like something to buy. You're thinking more about price.

They claim to be from California, but that's obviously not the writing of a native English speaker or any professional business person.

It could be a drop shipping scam. I wouldn't risk it.

Yeah, someone in another section of the forum recently found a deal similar to this and it ended up being a scam, he got the item but it was apparent from the invoice that it was bought with a stolen card. I hope this isn't the case here, but do pay close attention when the item arrives and see if anything seems out of the ordinary. Let us know how it turns out for you.

EDIT: Doing a little more investigation doesn't offer anything promising. At the bottom of the page they have links to two business rating websites, one link brings up a message that the store has been deleted from their site and the other has several reviews, many of which are of people who did indeed get their orders a bit late; but there is a comment or two saying that they highly suspect it's a dropship scammer buying things off amazon with a stolen card. The fact that the oldest review is from February I think is a good indication that this site has not been up long - and these people clearly have experience setting these sites up. Very shady.

Personally, I'd stay away.

Interesting, new scam of the day. Haven't heard that angle of one yet and I'm pretty versed. When in doubt I never ever use credit cards.

Well, since I used paypal, now I guess we see what happens...............

Since this one is up in the air for the moment....... Anyone chime in anything about A2Ztoystore? I will be suffering from egg on the face if I am 0-2 here.

I hope this isn't one of those man-in-the-middle kinds of scams, where you can be liable for their use of a stolen card to send you the merchandise. Even if you use PayPal, I think you would still be liable in this type of scam (it was happening with digital cameras on Amazon for a long time). It works by having you send someone payment for something (via any means), then they use a stolen card, buy the merchandise illegally, and ship it to you (so your name is connected with the transaction). They pocket the money you sent them, and even though it's less than retail, they still made some money, but they never used those funds to buy the item in question (they used the stolen card for that). Again, I hope this doesn't end up being what this site is! Please do keep us posted.

They're selling HE for $92. Cargo train for $136. Pet Shop creator set for $115.

Free shipping.

I am willing to suspend judgment and I hope that the O/P gets his package and everything is fine, but I'm highly suspicious.

Well..

http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide/cust_reviews__mid--288066.html

"shop.vitanes.com is a fraudulent enterprise that drop ships merchandise from amazon.com at prices much higher than they are charging on their orders, suggesting that they are laundering money out of stolen credit cards."

One anonymous comment / review should be taken with a grain of salt, but it's not looking good.

There is not a single positive comment from anybody who actually received merchandise from them.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Hope it turns out ok for the op but i wouldn't hold my breath.

I wish I had come across this discussion sooner. Last month I was directed to this "store" from an ad on an ebay page. The prices were just a little less than everywhere else, with free shipping as well, so I ordered two items (Winter Village Market), and paid with PayPal. It has been over three weeks and I haven't gotten word of any shipment.

Now that I look closely, the Order Confirmation email says: "Thank you for your order from VTN Store. Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order. If you have any questions about your order please contact us at support@vitanes.com or call us at Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm PST."

There is NO telephone number at which to call them!

Yesterday, I sent an email inquiry to the "support@vitanes.com" address. The email seems to have been delivered, but I am beginning to doubt that I will get a reply.

I expect I will have to report it as a scam to PayPal and see if I can get the charge reversed.

Oh no...I just bought a town hall from it.

Is there any update to the reported cases here?

Did anyone actually received their items?

Update: The "store" is definitely fake. It has a Facebook page that lists an address and phone number that actually belong to other businesses. I opened a complaint at PayPal and reported the scam. PayPal quickly confirmed the complaint and refunded my money.
