62Bricks Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 Well the "treasures" in this lot are all those small green plates - the 1x1s and the old-style 1x2s that have a bar-shaped post on the underside instead of a round one like modern plates. 3023old is the Bricklink number for the 1x2s, and if you check the catalog there you'll find no listing for green ones. But they exist! Quote
alois Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I thought the colours on the photo were wrong, and these were supposed to be blue... Quote
Maniac4Legos Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Very interesting, and are we starting multiple rounds of I Spy, or just the one shown above? I spy with my little eye....something clear, round and no longer used in themes. (Clear = translucent but not to a specific color). Although it does have color on it, it's not the piece's primary color. Good luck! ;) Play well, Maniac4Bricks :) Quote
62Bricks Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 Happy to have spotted these in a recent ebay auction: Rare red waffle bottom 6x8 plate. A little chipped on one corner. Some classic tabbed windows: Quote
Slegengr Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I also enjoy playing "I Spy" in eBay lots. Your classic space lot appears to have been quite a find! I have seen some information about the Samsonite plates and other old variants, but I certainly am not too familiar with pre-80's items. Quote
