Toltomeja Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) Here it is - the next episode of round-the-world MOC series. This time we visit a tranquil Greek town. As usual, it is largely based on various architectural sites (houses of Vathia, Kapnikarea, Panagia, some church in Athens). Full gallery Enjoy! Edited March 23, 2014 by Toltomeja Quote
robuko Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 This is really superb. So many great techniques, and it looks wonderful! Is the circle of roof cones mounted in a dish? Quote
KristofBD Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Some excellent building techniques! Especially the plants and roofs are gorgeous! Very nice... Quote
krono111 Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 The roofs are just amazing! Keep up the good work! krono111 Quote
TheLET Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Very nice moc! The trees, plants and the use of colors in the buildings are great. I especially like how the roof techniques, and how it captures round and curved shapes. Quote
Vee Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Very nice. The one thing that I didn't like was the bald minifig . Bald minifigs are ugly, Quote
kabel Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 This is extremely nice! The way you build these roofs is just some of the best roof building I've ever seen. And, it's good to see there is more to this part of the History Forum than LOTR! Quote
Infernum Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Awesome! Love the path and those roofs are incredible! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Wow! The roof and tree designs are fantastic Great landscape as well Quote
large88 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Yeah! Great creation, awesome techniques used Quote
Lasse Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Very nice MOC with many great details. Both the house, the church and nature are incredible. Quote
MassEditor Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Man, I love this scene! Excellent design for the roof! Quote
BEAVeR Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Incredible! I don't know what to say first, because there are soo many great elements in this MOC. There's of course those roofs with the great charriot wheels, the buildings, the wheathering of the walls, the ivy, the texture of the ground (well thought out!), the ivy, the rocks, the trees, the details on the house and the church, the layout (with height difference and angles)... wait, is there an element of the MOC I didn't find amazing? So I have nothing more to add, else than that house looks terribly small to live in and that although the shape of the trees is really right, the direction of the foliage isn't quite... but there's not much to do about that. Keep surprising us with you trip around the world! Quote
Steel Tiger Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 This moc has a unique feel to it that I noticed before I looked at the title. When I noticed the title, I realized that I was thinking of Greece. Somehow, the combination of the green trees, and the shades of brown dirt just has a nice, Greek feel to it. I can't wait to see your next few locations. Quote
Rolli Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 (edited) Very unique setting and executed with brilliant techniques! Thanks for sharing! I especially love those roofs (who doesn't?), the weathered houses as well as those lovely trees.. Great scene! Edited March 30, 2014 by Rolli Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Great job! I really like your roof and your very detailed trees. Keep up the good work! Quote
