Cult_Of_Skaro Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I'm currently needing to use LDD2PovRay to add custom decorations to some 2x4 tiles. What size should my images be? Quote
CM4Sci Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Everything needs to be the same size. 90x90 I believe. -Sci Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks! I guess I'll make the images then squash them. Quote
Nachapon Lego Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Maybe 64/128/256/512/1024 x 64/128/256/512/1024. Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 Related...Okay, so I made the decals just fine, I scaled them to the correct sizes...then I went to the decorations tab on LDD2PovRay, and it gave me this error message: "Year, Month and Day parameters describe an un-representable DateTime" What does this mean, and what does it have to do with decorations? hrontos Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Image dimensions are not important, larger images will give you more smooth result on detailed renders. It just has to be square image (aspect ratio 1:1). Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted March 10, 2014 Author Posted March 10, 2014 Oh, okay. I'll try and remake them larger then... Quote
___ Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 well, actually, LDD internal decors are 128x128 pixels .png Quote
JGW3000 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) I just created and used a custom decoration that was 100 pixels high by 400 pixels wide, PNG format in Photoshop, to go onto a 1x4 tile - works great. Kudos to the people behind LDD, LDD2POVRay, and POVRay Edited September 16, 2014 by JGW3000 Quote
Blip Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 well, actually, LDD internal decors are 128x128 pixels .png Point of fact, some (in the last update, at least) are 256x256. :) Quote
