Sir Brickalot Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Vulture Beast is a powerful creature with immensely strong wings. It is capable of destroying any pesky hero in its way by swiping them with its razor sharp feathers. When it soars into the sky, nothing can outrun its speed and agility. This is not a beast you want to cross paths with. After everything in its path is destroyed, all it has to do is finish off Stormer with its crushing claws at the end of its bony legs. When it spreads out its huge wings, it looks even more intimidating than before. Antropolis is left a broken city after Vulture Beast's rampage. Basically the inspiration for this MOC was Jaw Beast. I was staring at his head and realized that the front kind of reminded me of a beak on a bird. I also wanted to experiment with wing shapes as I was very disappointed by Flyer Beast's wings when I first saw pictures of it. Well, that's about it! C&C welcome as always. Thanks for reading! Quote
Mutant Orc Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I haven't been here for ages! Months..! To the point though, cool model, I only just got jaw kaiju beast the other day. I quite like him but I think I'll give him a blue head from splitter beast instead Quote
3rdeye88 Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 That head part really lends its self well to an avian style MOC. I might just have to try my own take on that when I get a Beast set. Jaw Beast is the one I want the most FOR PURPLE. But I suppose it depends on which set I end up getting and which parts are abundant enough for a MOC like that. I quite like the photo of it screeching/squawking, the one under the picture of Stormer being crushed by it's feet. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Thanks everyone! 3rdeye88, thanks for praising my photos, never thought I was a good photographer! Quote
DraikNova Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 The brown feet contrast it a bit too much, making even the plain black ones a better choice. The wings aren't wing-like enough either, but they're more bird-like than most, as people tend to forget that there are dozens of feathers overlapping rather than just a few sticking out. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Thanks DraikNova, the wings are very wing-like in my opinion, especially from the top. Might snap a pic of the top of the wings soon along with black talons. Quote
3rdeye88 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Thanks everyone! 3rdeye88, thanks for praising my photos, never thought I was a good photographer! You're welcome, although I wasn't praising the photography itself so much as I liked the photo of it where it was stretched out a bit more. So I guess I should have said "I like the posing in that one picture." It definitely looks like its roaring, screeching, squawking, making a lot of noise to assert its dominance. Though the photos aren't bad either, not blurry well lit and a mostly clean undistracting background. Quote
