jorgeopesi Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Everything started on a happy 17th January in which I asked Lego a few pieces, my birthday was the 23rd.Two weeks later I got a message from Lego saying shipping out on January 31th, of course I called to complain and find out what happened. Among apologies and explanations they joined me to their VIP program giving me 100 points and I went back to wait... Another two weeks later on friday 14th I called again due to the delay and they told me to wait until monday and if it hadn´t come they would do another shipment. Monday came but not the pieces... after another call they made another shipment, they could have done it urgently but not... also I was asked to return the first shipment if it finally arrived... I am still waiting and today I get an email saying my Lego pieces will arrive in 7-10 days... the last time I called them was on monday 17th february... I understand that failures happen and I have been patient, but I think this is going too far... Quote
DrJB Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Well ... how do you know (for sure) it's Lego's mistake? Do you have tracking on such packages? My experience with Lego is only positive ... I'd check elsewhere just to make sure. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 So far mine was positive too. I know it is only a mistake, what bothers me is the lack of Lego efforts to resolve it. Quote
Paul Boratko Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Sometimes you'll place an order and a certain part in that order may be on backorder and they'll delay the whole thing... I placed a $400+ parts order in 2012 that took 45 days to get because of black panels being backordered.. But much to my delight when I got the package, it turned out it was a double order that got picked twice... Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 In my case first shipment lost I guess, Paul sure you know well which pieces are . Quote
unimog123 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 That is unbelievable. I've never experienced anything like that with Lego. The most I've ever had to wait was 1 and 1/2 weeks. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it, though. How many parts did you order? And were they rare parts? Quote
JM1971 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I ordered a 9398 rock crawler and got a haunted castle instead, like its really easy to mistake a castle for car, but the best was when I won a 51999 and there was pieces missing. Quote

whydoris Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I note there is a delay in my online order too. I made my order on 6 Feb for the valentines day teddy bear (with other sets, no loose bricks), hoping for the big day. The order was not invoiced and they didn't charge my credit card until 12 Feb. Of course I didn't receive it on 14 Feb. I was wondering why it took TLG so long to charge? I thought cash is the king for a business? Quote
lukeandahalf Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I would like to believe that if Lego were simply more transparent, everyone here would understand/appreciate an upfront answer as to why your pieces/set are late or otherwise. Seems like a pretty big PR opportunity for Lego. In regards to Lego customer service in general, people either seem to have very good experiences with Lego, or very bad experiences. Very polarized. Anyhow.. Quote
Lakop Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 My first order from lego, via lego shop, went to Australia before finding it's way to me three weeks later on Christmas eve (about 5yrs now). By then Lego had already sent another package which I recieved. I think it depends on the courier and where the lego is coming from. I was allowed to keep both. No problems past few years. H Quote
vliet Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I also ordered some pieces and I received them within 7 working days. Most of them were new parts for 2014. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 (edited) Two days after the 7-10 workdays message the shipment arrived . Only another error a bone piece less (3) and a steering arm more (9) but I won´t call this time is enough for me . Edited February 27, 2014 by jorgeopesi Quote
