Hi everyone,

I have downloaded LDD for my son and I am hoping you can help with this (no doubt obvious) problem - I've checked the LDD guide and looked online but can't find the answer - when we select facial acessory items (such as goggles) they can only be placed on the floor. Is there some way to lift them? I'm familiar with bethesda TES construction kits believe it or not which I thought may have a similar principal but nothing seems to work. Is this a bug or are we doing something wrong?

We have tried building from the ground up - putting the head downn first but have the same issue. No doubt it's something simple but so far we are baffled!

This is a brilliant piece of software I will probably end up spending more time than him on it. There isn't much hope for me if I can't even figure out how to add glasses I suppose but hey ho

Thank you

In order to place a piece in LDD, the piece have to be connected to another one.

In your example, googles need to be attached to a proper helmet like this one.

Otherwise the object can be only placed on the ground.

If you want to place a part "on the air" you need a scaffolding (a structure that you use to place the piece and you remove when the piece is placed). Note that pieces selected together moves together.

PS: try to choose a more significative title when you open a discussion.

'scaffolding' is the best approach. If you want only the goggles and not the helmet, put the goggles on the helmet, select (Ctrl+click) helmet+goggles together, put them on the minifig, then delete the helmet only.
