Vader Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Doesn't that Anakin hair just scream Steve, who's is the superior intellect... X-D :-D X-D Oh man you are sooooo right!! He does indeed look alot like Kahn, im sure theres some ST fans out there who will love this face and hair for that very reason. After reading your review *yoda* and seeing the pics this set has moved up a few places in my wanted list. Quote
simonwillems Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Nice review! I own the original set (with the two battledroids and the weird looking little cart, remember..?) and I still like that version. Never been a fan of the tendency lego has of bringing out every set two or three times making it more realistic. I have noticed a little mistake in the title of this topic, it says "Naboo fighter 7760" instead of "Naboo fighter 7660" Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 I have noticed a little mistake in the title of this topic, it says "Naboo fighter 7760" instead of "Naboo fighter 7660" Ooooopsy :-$ Darn typo loool. Tks for pointing that out and I stand corrected ;-) Correction On !! *yoda* Quote
Big Pete Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 nice looking set ... shame about the stickers, but hey, you don't *have* to apply them! :) My RGS was bought from ebay without stickers and to be honest, it doesn't look any worse without them! :) Quote
Legoman Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 thanks for the great reveiw yoda.this set is really movie acurate.i really like the stand, it looks great.the VD is okay.it could luse a little modding but cool none the less.great set and great review.thanks again yoda. :-) Quote
KimT Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Thanks for that great review Yoda. It looks like we don't have to dismantle the Vulture to change the position of the wings in this new version *y* . Also the Naboo thingy looks ok. - Though I wouldn't swoosh it all the way X-D That is still for the X-Wing UCS Y-Wing UCS. Can't wait to get me that set. KimT Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Such a beautiful set... I'd gladly sell my original Naboo fighter for one of these. Its so great, and sleek! -ZotS Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 When I saw the pics at asmzine I thought that the vulture droid stickers were permanently paper stickers. It is a good thing that it isn't. I am literally buying ten of these. Quote
captaintau Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Got this yesterday in a chance visit to Woolworths My random thoughts: - Nice shape and look. Cool minifigs - That missile goes off WAY too easily, with how proud the switch sits. It goes off, like every time I put the ship down or any time I mount it on the landing pad. I've already lost it :-( - I don't see the point of the ramp for R2. I just assumed he'd be mounted laterally with his shoulders covered so he had to be dropped out of bottom. - The flick-fire missiles drop of the VD when its standing - HOW MANY errors in the instruction book? More than I've ever come across before. So it looks and swooshed much better than the original and has some nice ideas in it, but has some major flaws. I'm actually quite disappointed by it. Certainly not sure its worth Quote
Asuka Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 - I don't see the point of the ramp for R2. I just assumed he'd be mounted laterally with his shoulders covered so he had to be dropped out of bottom. Yep, but that Quote
JimBee Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 i know this is kinda old but... the nail gun is for the pilot. remember naboo were nonviolent people? well, turns out theyre all freddy krugers. come on, if you saw a viceroy nailed to a wall with a huge nail in his head shot by queen amidala, with blood all over the place, would your image of PT star wars change? thought so. ... still like the nail gun though, and nice review, very clear pics. i congragulate you. (i must be on crack or something today...) |-/ :-P Quote
hoang Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 i haven't purchased nor collect many star wars set but this one is one of my favorite of them so far Quote
Dwarvenlord Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Very good review! I am a bit late with replaying though, but im a newby... . I must say, the Vulture droid is better then the old one, but i think the old Naboo starfighter is better. I got him a long time ago, still loving it! Quote
