Juliet9703 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I came across this film about a two metre long tunnel boring machine made from 50,000 LEGO bricks and I thought you might enjoy it. This is based on one of the machines that's building Crossrail - London's new railway. Quote
JopieK Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Welcome at EB Juliet! The FIRST LEGO League always is a very nice LEGO event, I have been a referee for 5+ years now in my region. The drill is also amazing! Interesting that the word 'boring' is also used in the context of drilling. I only don't get the drill together with 'nature's fury', the FLL challenge of 2013-2014. Quote
Xcod119 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Well, that's the most 'boring' video that I've seen all week. Quite large vehicle though! Quote
Bricktrain Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Great model. Having just completed assembly of a real one for a 14m diameter tunnel here I dont think I would be keen to build a model one.Nice to see some of the features that they have included like the segment feeder, though the one here is slightly different.
