MOD: 75032 X-Wing mods

Picked up most of the Micro Fighters thanks to the BOGO 50% off sale at Toys R Us. Instead of getting the Drone Tank, I bought a second X-wing.

I like the new X-wing pilot printed body but I prefer it be piloted by Luke and R2.

I removed the dark bley 2x1 plate and the clip plates. I replaced it with a white turntable so R2 can spin his head.

I also used a spare R4-P44 body to give the Microfighter droid a body. Anyone know the droid's designation?

Looks nice, they should have put a turntable there from the beginning. Also, I hate they didn't include R2-X2's body (his designation according to Wookieepedia http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R2-X2).

As pointed out recently in the 2014 Pictures and Rumors thread, R2-X2's proper body will be included in the next Star Wars advent calendar.

Oh yeah the Xmas tree Astromech. Cool. I was going to get a R3-D5 for the body.

The use of a 2x2 turntable was such a no-brainer, I cannot fathom why they didn't do that in the first place.

Much as I like the idea of the Microfighters, and think that using a turntable is genius (solscud007 I salute you), I will only get them for the minifig and for parts (perhaps my younger brother gets a plaything to go with his CM collection) as they hold no real value to me. But again, this is an effective MOD, and certainly one I would use IF I was to leave the fighter the way it should be.
