Seaber Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 The character has got to be in either AUJ or DOS, and a new print, but requiring no special molds. So far, they've all been main characters, rather than units. I don't think they'd make any dwarves other than Thorin, so the options were: Bilbo - Waistcoat, (Dressing Gown), Tatty Clothes, Lake-town Clothes Thorin - Young, Azanulbizar, Erebor Bilbo's Lake-town clothes and Thorin's Erebor outfit could easily appear in the next wave, his Azanulbizar clothes are similar to his BO5A armour, and he is unlikely to get a new mold for his Dwarven or Oaken Shield. Bilbo in his Waistcoat, Dressing Gown and Thorin's Young outfit are shown for just a few minutes in fairly quiet scenes, which maybe makes them better for a pre-order figure. I'm happy anyway. Quote
BrickTamland Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I was a little dissapointed at first and if I did not enjoy the Traveller's Tales games so much I might pass, but that being said this Bilbo looks like an excellent variant. Quote
TeufelHund Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 (edited) Well now I know I can download the game from one of the cheaper online sites cause there's no way I'm paying top dollar for a retail box to get a Hobbit in his dressing gown like I did with the LOTOR game to get Elrond. Mahtion Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I actually like it quite a bit. It's a pretty good looking minifig, I like the arm printing. Of course Dain, Old Bilbo, etc. would have been better, but I still think this one looks nice. Agreed. Keep in mind a Dain was reported in the BoFA set of wave 3. This exclusive variant is growing on me but now I want the Target blue coat variant. Quote
Artanis I Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Looks like I won't be in a hurry to pre order the game. Quote
SirBlake Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I think it's really cool. It's not going to get me to buy the game, but I think it's a fun option. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Wow, neat minifig! I may just have to seriously consider preordering the game . Quote
Infernum Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I'm surprised, this is a very nice fig! Not a new character, but it appealing anyway. Quote
WEREWOLF Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 one for display and one for saving with my 8 Elrond figures Quote
Peewit Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I seems like we in Europe will be able to get this one from Amazon in Germany just as with the exclusive fig shipped with the Lotr game. The amazon site has an "amazon exlusive" variant of the game available for prebooking but with no description about how it differs from the regular variant. But when I send them a mail asking about it I got this reply: " ... Unfortunately, in this case we do not have any further information about the title "LEGO Der Hobbit" Special Edition other than what you see on our website. From what we know until today this Special Edition will be released with a different packaging and will include a Lego Miniature, that is not available separately elsewhere. ... " Quote
danklaiber Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Does anybody know if this Bilbo minifigure will be available as a pre-order bonus in the UK? Any links? Quote
-SD- Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Once again, it's unfortunately a GAME exclusive in the UK. That being said, I've just put my pre-order in..... At least this time the WiiU is also getting the minifig. Edited March 7, 2014 by -SD- Quote

Floundie Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Is it likely the fig could pop up in stores later on? Like how Wal-Mart had a Lego Marvel bundle with the Iron Patriot fig. Quote
