Hero Factory Stands

Do they exist? Are there any good ideas for making a custom one?

as far as i know, they don't. but i think you can make one from technic beams, altough i haven't try to make one yet.

I've actually used the Hero Factory bones themselves as stands a couple of times, as can be seen here and here. It works well enough, but for heavier models you might have to use those gray friction adders too, or a couple of chains of bones. Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration.

How is this stand made? It looks absolutely great.

The same as the other one, only using a Nuva canister lid as the base instead of a torso piece. It's incredibly simple.

In this photo I instead used clear lego elements so that they'd have less impact on the photograph. They can be a little harder to make and support your MOC but if you can get your hands on some of the clear technic beams and other trans-clear parts, it might work better for what you need.
