ptLeskinen Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hello all, decided to tune my LEGO calendar. Done this few times last year. I thought that putting up topic would force me to do it monthly. JANUARY: Really little snow in southern Finland but really cold month. Hoth was on my mind daily. FEBRUARY: Yes, the Movie. Waiting for it like no other. Unfortunately only dubbed version coming out, but they can't ruin it since it is LEGO anyway. Santa's head is from my maxifigures. Should open a topic on those some day. Lets see what March brings. Ridge Montante Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Very cool project. Look forward to seeing the upcoming months. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Agreed! This looks very fun. I will have to check back this year Quote
Onebear86 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 That is really cool! And I thought my calendar mod was cool... Quote
ptLeskinen Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 MARCH: Little googleing and March actually originates from Roman god of war: MARS. Well just completed tv-series Spartacus from Netflix and I came up with this: Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 This is my favorite one yet! I should try something like this, I have 6 Roman soldiers and a commander, not to mention a gladiator, so it should be fairly easy... Quote
CamelBoy68 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 That's a splendid idea, I'll have to think about this.... Quote
CamelBoy68 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Well I thought about it and as I'm suffering from a BURP addiction (see my other post), I came up with this one. I had to drop off two bricks in the centre column, as they obscured the month brick. Quote
trippybrowneyes Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I finally got myself a Lego calendar a week ago and already thought about how boring it was going to be to look at the same color scheme month after month. This is a great idea. Furthermore, after seeing your March display, I might just have to do April as Game of Thrones... Quote
eurotrash Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Excellent thread, full of some great ideas. I'm looking forward to the remaining months! Quote
ptLeskinen Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) APRIL: (late, I know) Our LUG biggest expo is coming! Build up on 10th. Here to last years build up timelapse video. No time left... Maybe some kind of Easter update later, IF I survive this crunch time. Edited April 7, 2014 by ptLeskinen Quote

ptLeskinen Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Late update, more Easterish... Our LUG exhibition went well again. This Model Expo is combined with Children Expo and attracts more than 45 000 visitors. Our LEGO booth is one of the highlights. Here is a to video run around our main table, thanks to Hovinet group. Now I have to start with MAY (4th). Quote
ptLeskinen Posted May 4, 2014 Author Posted May 4, 2014 MAY: No surprises here, it has to be SW. "I am your father" "Oh, I my father cut my hand and I am still smiling...." Enjoy your May The Fourth!! Quote
KCMatze Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Wow! Really great ideas in this calendar thread. Absolutely stunning builds ptLeskinen! Star Wars scene is the bomb! Quote
ptLeskinen Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) JUNE: Summer is here! Scene of someone jumping in a lake came to my mind first. White calendar numbers in columns made finnish birch trees. Ok finally this group of two men and two women sort of brings "lake Bodom murders" up...since I live close to this infamous lake. This scene is from the early evening (with the midnight sun) when all was ok. Next morning only one of the guys were alive. (can you find a knife from the picture?) Have a nice summer! Kivi Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 This is so cool and ingenious! Now I see that I will have to assemble my calendar which I have kept MISB for more than a year. I will definitely stay tuned for the remaining months. Quote
KCMatze Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Knife is under the yellow 'triangle' (tent?!) Nice build, really like the water with all those loose round studs! Edited June 4, 2014 by KCMatze Quote
ptLeskinen Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) JULY: Football (Soccer) World Cup is under way. I hope to see Holland in the final but unfortunately I didn't have correct parts in orange. Referee clearly sees something I don't but thats part of football culture, right? Enjoy the games, I will. talex Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Huh, congratulations, great ideas and even more important superb executions. I love July, January and May (great arrangement btw), but March is my favorite! Great action happening in there! So, as the others, I am looking forward to see how the rest of the year will unveil.
