Ryker_Hill Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I have recently looked at the new 2014 tmnt sets and I see they have a leatherhead! That could be used as a killer croc custom! It comes in the new turtle sub. Here's pics Quote
Rinzler Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Agreed, I'm already planning on using it Quote
BrickG Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) It doesn't really fit my favorite images of Killer Croc. He's usually got more a a flat almost human face in my favorite interpretations. I think it's rarer for him to just looking like a literal crocodile. http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110610105407/batman/images/f/f2/KillerCrocB-AA.jpg But whatever floats your boat. Hrafnblod Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 He's been interpreted a lot of ways over the years. He wasn't very croclike at all in the animated series, for one. I think Leatherhead's figure is a pretty valid interpretation of ol' Croc. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I'm not a fan of this figure being used as a Killer Croc at all. The figure is actually too crocodile like--with the long nose and more importantly the tail. Those two things are too far out there for Killer Croc (The tail being the biggest), who is more supposed to be a mutated human, and not a mutated crocodile. I will say though that it's interesting that the TMNT line gets many "half" big-figs, while we don't get any of those from the the Superhero line (Also on my rant, Superheroes misses leg printing too, but that's just one of many things I think our hero line lacks). Anyways, I think these "half" big-figs would work wonders on many Superhero characters who should be larger then standard minifigures, but look too giant as big-figs. Quote
Deathleech Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) I guess it all just depends on what source material you are basing it off of. Like the posters above, I usually visualize him having scaly green skin and being large, but still mostly human looking. There is a versions where he is much more crocodile like though: Edited January 26, 2014 by Deathleech Quote
korpen4444 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I think you'd be better off using a Chima croc. That's what I plan to do. Or you could always pay an arm and a leg for the oringinal Killer Croc on Amazon, Bricklink, or Ebay. It doesn't really fit my favorite images of Killer Croc. He's usually got more a a flat almost human face in my favorite interpretations. I think it's rarer for him to just looking like a literal crocodile. http://static1.wikia...lerCrocB-AA.jpg But whatever floats your boat. This is the creepiest, but most awesome version of Croc. Dayton Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I would not use this as a Killer Croc figure. Although if TLG were to make a Croc figure i would like it to be this scale. Quote
Ryker_Hill Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 I'm sorry if some of you guys disagree. I still think this could be a wise choice because I visualize him as the more croc side, but hey opinions are opinions Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Didn't Killer Croc have a tail in one of the direct-to-video animated DC movies? I specifically remember it because Batman mentioned that he was getting more of the mutagen that turned him into a crocodile-beast and then proceeded to tear of his tail in interrogation. I think it might have been Son of Batman. Quote
