1nxtmonster Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Hello everyone! My latest trial truck, an 8x8 Oshkosh HEMTT. Powered by two XL motors, independent steering by two m motors. Live axle suspension on each axle, portal hubs, etc. And, of course, a movie. Quote
skriblez Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Great work, nice music on the video to :) Quote
1nxtmonster Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Thanks guys! Once the snow melts off, i'll be able to (hopefully) see how capable it is on trail type terrain. Quote
MrNumbskull13 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) It's a very capable truck! perhaps the independent steering would be better with servo motors? Edited January 22, 2014 by MrNumbskull13 Quote
Doc_Brown Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Great moc man! Very nice vid too. What is the car cam? pretty good quality. Quote

Yeah, some sort of RTC steering would be ideal for the independent axles. Great moc man! Very nice vid too. What is the car cam? pretty good quality. Thanks! I love filming at a local stream/streambed because in the winter it is frozen over and in the summer it is shallow enough for crossings. The car-cam camera is a GoPro Hero3 Black edition, which has excellent video quality. I've used the gopro for pretty much every single camera shot for every movie since I've gotten it. Quote

You could steer with a train remote, and put gearing in between the two dials. Each dial would correspond to a servo motor, and each axle would have different steering lock.
