BrickBuilder3213 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I'm asking because I really want to make an Invasion From Below on-rails shooter at some point. I have all of the level layouts and boss scripts already worked out, but I just need the 3D models for Jaw Beast, Flyer Beast, Splitter Beast, Tunneler Beast, Crystal Beast, The Queen and the heroes. LDD would be a good source to make the models, but I don't know if any software supports LLD files or not. Quote
legolijntje Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 No. LDD files can't be exported to other software. There's one exception, it can be exported to LDraw, but the exporting often removes some bricks, replaces some bricks, or recolors some bricks. It doesn't work 100%. I would recommend making your models in SR3D builder, which uses LDraw. LDraw files can be exported to other 3d file types. But, in the end, I think it's best to just make the models in a real 3d modeler to avoid problems you may encounter using exported stuff. Quote
