LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Nice video, huge layout and amazing soundtrack! Quote
Jorrith Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 Thanks guys! I got the red diesel 3677 last saturday with some extra straight track, so i just had to see how it would look if i used all the track that i have in a single layout. It's also the first time that i've layed a track since my dark ages, the yellow electric train 7939 was purchased last week in the 4in1 super pack... It was only 169 euro's so i had to grab it before it was gone. Same with the red diesel though, wanted to order it last friday but the shop i wanted to buy from was sold out all of a sudden. Called the next cheapest shop on brickwatch.net and it's near where i lived, he had one set remaining, so i reserved it and picked it up the other day. Really love that red diesel..... Quote
Doom2099 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The video's a lot of fun! I like that the camera was further back, so you get a nice look at the engine and front cars twisting around the curves. Thanks for uploading! Quote
firstofminifigs Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Watching that video is one way to get dizzy quickly. Nice collection How did you motorize the Constitution? Quote
philou14 Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I also powered the constitution and I found this video on Youtube! Quote
Jorrith Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 It's not motorised yet.... Same as the ghost train.. Both were pushed along the track by the yellow electric train. Quote
Jorrith Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) I have made another video... This time with a motorized 79111 Constitution train chase, 10219 Maersk train and i also got a 4563 Load and haul railroad. (part of the track is now 9V) http://youtu.be/lU0w_DvUCo4 Enjoy! Hrw-Amen Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It is a fun thing to do on a Sunday. Sometimes I get the chance especially if my mate brings his boy around to play. It can be great fun watching the trains chase each other and all that. The worst bit is putting it all away at the end. If only I had room for a permenant layout!! Quote
Jorrith Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks all! @ Hrw-Amen: I feel your pain, since i also lack the room for a permanent layout... But the upside is that everytime you lay track, it's different every time! But indeed, putting it away again sure is a pain. Quote
gunm Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Fun video Jorrith and a great idea to mount the camera on the train! What kind of camera are you using, if I might ask? I'm thinking it would be cool to have a wireless camera which can send back a signal to a monitor so my kids and I can view everything in real time. Quote
Jorrith Posted March 20, 2014 Author Posted March 20, 2014 I am using a Contour HD 720P camera, but this camera is outdated, and there is a 1080 (full HD version) now, and some others. I have used it for filming while playing paintball for the last 3 years, but i am very sure there are lighter and smaller camera's for this use now, and at a lower price. For this purpose you don't need a camera that can take a beating... (it got shot up the lens with paintballs a few times) Quote
