Vee Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 A probably dumb question but regarding Technic parts I see that there are "levers" and "beams", the levers being only half the depth of the beams. There is a 2M beam with two circular holes in it and there is a 2M lever with two cross holes in it. My question is why there is NOT a 2M lever with two circular holes in it? Quote
whale2 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I don't know why there are no such parts, but in case you need this 'lever' to work as lever, parts with cross holes can rotate around 'bars', like 61184 or 30374 and bushes like 3713 / 4265c sit firmly on that bars to fix 'levers'. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Why would there be? It's not like you could use a part like that as anything but a spacer, and i've never had a need for something like that. Quote

Alasdair Ryan Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 (edited) Vee what are you trying to achieve in the design posted? Edit Like this? Edited January 16, 2014 by Alasdair Ryan Quote
Vee Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 I have a whole thread already discussing what I am trying to do (mostly with one other person...) but ultimately I am trying to add a light brick to an Ole Kirk's House. The tan bricks you see in the LXF file stand for the light brick. I believe what I have is ok but I don't understand why there is a thin 2M liftarm (lever) with two crosses and no thin 2M liftarm with two circular holes. There is only the thick 2M liftarm (beam) with two circular holes, makes no sense to me but since I am a rookie regarding Technic, I figured that I may be going the wrong route. Quote
