zouave Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Now that I have the matter of Idea Block covered,I've decided to share my ideas. 1. Eurobricks Awards I posted this on Idea Block and was told this would not work by an administrator.I disagree.Unlike small and private contests this would be a website wide contest. It would be in almost every forum. Each forum would have its own certain awards.Members would submit thier entry on the Eurobricks Awards page located in each forum. Then on a certain date the winners will be announced. After it's over the page will be deleted. 2. Administrator Forum This is a forum speciffically for administrators. Here they can meet and converse on important issues. It will require a password. The password will be changed constantly. 3.Buy,Sale,Trade Forum Organization A chosen comittee will go through and get rid of old or completed buys and trades.Thereby allowing new deals to be better seen. I will post other ideas as I go.

Now we have certain contests in certain forums sometimes with prizes, so if you like the forum you can join the contest. How would that be any different than this? 2. Administrator ForumThis is a forum speciffically for administrators. Here they can meet and converse on important issues. It will require a password. The password will be changed constantly. We would have to be pretty stupid not to already have this. How do you think they plot all their April Fools Jokes? :-P But the admittance to the forum comes standard with the admin account along with the moderating powers, etc. 3.Buy,Sale,Trade Forum OrganizationA chosen comittee will go through and get rid of old or completed buys and trades.Thereby allowing new deals to be better seen. Why would deleting old trades make new ones "better seen"? I don't really see how this would help. Also, te staff doesn't like deleting posts, as it promotes conspiricy and and creates that sensation of deciet...

Sounds like the good old Captions Contests we've had (any chance of a revival of those?). The reward was a title. I don't think an award is needed for this kind of forum. There are plenty of rewards already (titles, flags, tags) 2. Administrator ForumThis is a forum speciffically for administrators. Here they can meet and converse on important issues. It will require a password. The password will be changed constantly. I'm pretty sure there is one ;-) 3.Buy,Sale,Trade Forum OrganizationA chosen comittee will go through and get rid of old or completed buys and trades.Thereby allowing new deals to be better seen. Topics with new deals will be at the top of the topic list anyway, and old ones will usually end up closed when a deel has been made. I don't think this is really necessary.
Hobbes Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 Now that I have the matter of Idea Block covered,I've decided to share my ideas. Why not in the other topic? :-| 1. Eurobricks Awards We have tons of contests, titles, flags, tags already. 2. Administrator Forum Uh... why would that be any of your business? 3.Buy,Sale,Trade Forum Organization Covered as well. Old topics "disappear" to the end of the topic list, so they rid themselves. I will post other ideas as I go. Thanks, but no thanks. The administrators of EB take care of this, and they've done a pretty decent job so far. Closed (and don't start a new topic!).
