Mtx Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I have ordered all needed pieces for my mocs directly from LEGO, and mainly always cheaper than bricklink. Usually the biggest diffirence comes from the shipping which is very cheap at LEGO. And best of all I can be sure that all parts are new and genuine parts. First order was paid with my credit card, all other I paid with depit card. So my feedback is extremely positive. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 There was one at Birmingham and one at Kingston I think, but they both got closed. Please correct me if I am wrong someone. A quick Google at least reveals that they both existed at some point in time... 100% correct! I have a distant memory of a lego shop in the Friary centre Guildford, back in the 80's but it might have just been a toy shop that stocked lots of lego, but I recall it having a yellow front and a lego sign. Who knows Quote
DrJB Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) Somehow none of those parts are available on the Lego US site .... Edit: Found them. I was initially looking in the 'Pick-A-Brick' section. Edited January 20, 2014 by DrJB Quote
Lakop Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 It would seem red (as used in 8258) and yellow (as used in 42024) panels are out of stock at the moment. Red have been out of stock for a while now, I wonder if they will be coming back. H Quote
zux Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Does anyone know how long it takes to receive parts after paying for them? Time scales in EU would be appreciated. Quote
D3K Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I placed an order two days ago, and called to verify and pay today.. The nice lady said it usually took 10-12 days, but it was pretty hectic these days, so maybe as long as two weeks. parts are picked and shipped from Denmark to Norway, and I suppose the same goes for the rest of Europe as well. Got to say, it beats bricklink on prices on most of the items I ordered! Quote
jantjeuh Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Yep, shipping costs are lower too. Definitely first checking Lego before buying parts from Bricklink from now on. Quote

Interesting. I paid for an order today as well and was given the same time estimate for parts shipping from Denmark - but I'm in the US, and would have expected it to take longer to ship here than to other parts of Europe. Maybe the 10-12 days is a conservative estimate, though - an "under-promise and over-deliver" sort of thing to keep customers happy. Quote
Lakop Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 It's usually within 10 days in my experience. When i've called and paid on a Friday the parts have arrived 8 days later. I'll be placing an order next week so I will see what happens. I wonder if they are being inundated for the newer parts. H Quote
Gee Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Such a shame that you can't get the GBC balls on here! I even checked to see if they had those magenta ones that come in the Friends soccer set, but nay. :-( Quote
N-4K0 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Off-topic, but I need an answer: Does the Black Tire 94.8 x 44 R Balloon (54120) fit to the Wheel 56mm D. x 34mm Technic Racing Medium (44772) ? I consider buying 2 of this tire, but I don't know if it fits to this rim. It's the same as on the Unimog, which I have, but I need rims anyway. I wonder if they fit together since the tire is just slightly bigger than the Unimog tire? Quote

Bricklink is very useful for finding out this information too, it can tell you all the possible assemblies of wheels and tires. For example this combo: HERE Quote

JGW3000 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Just got these, order placed Jan 17th, received Jan 29th, less than 2 weeks, not bad The 3L axle/pins and 5L axles with stops are going to come in handy this weekend! Edited January 29, 2014 by JGW3000 Quote
D3K Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Order placed 21St, got a mail this morning saying my parts had been packed and shipped, and would arrive in 8-10 days, which initially bummed me out.. Then this afternoon I got a call from DHL, wondering when they could come by tomorrow!:-) So 7 days after I called to pay! And delivered by DHL.. brilliant! Quote
Hrafn Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Another data point: I ordered mid-January, got a confirmation email on January 21st and called them that day to pay, the order shipped a week later, and it arrived a week after that. So it's not a fast process (especially compared to BrickLink) but it did let me get parts that aren't available on BL or on store shelves in the US yet. Quote
Lakop Posted February 5, 2014 Author Posted February 5, 2014 I'm pleased to hear you are all getting your parts. H Quote
