coolcab1 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 So I have just finished reading the hero factory books Robot rampage and mirror world and stringer cannot go on any missions right now because he got an upgraded brain I guess and there could be remanence of evil in him and nex is trying to clean up the mess that was made on Tranquis VII because in robot rampage the brains did a lot of damage and it states it in the book. Freddy Bricker Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I'm just going with: Too many new molds. Quote
Lyichir Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 They're probably on a lovely beach somewhere in the galaxy, taking a much deserved vacation. Stringer is bringing some frosty drinks back to Nex. "You know, I've been wondering," says Stringer, "whatever happened to the guys back on Alpha 1 Team?" "I don't know," replies Nex, shrugging and accepting his drink from Stringer. "But I'm sure if they needed us, they'd call. The Breakout's over, and the galaxy is at peace. What could possibly go wrong?" At this point one of two possible scenarios emerges. The two heroes either continue to sip their drinks and reminisce, or they're brutally attacked by alien brain-controlled kaiju from underground and killed instantly. Quote
CabooseBM Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Stringer is currently pursuing a music career. His latest album was a big hit in New Stellac and practically founded the Electro-Stellac subgenre. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I think Nex just stays back and helps Zib now. As for Stringer what CabooseBM said. Maybe something happened to them and the got damaged like Thresher. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 They were kidnapped by Von Nebula and will be seen in the Villain Factory theme coming 2015 which will feature Goriz and the Dark Maker. Absolutely. Indubitably. Seriously though, pretty sure it's just the set designers aren't coming up with good enough designs for them for whatever reason. And since they don't have sets for them they aren't included in the storylines. Besides they were gone two years, probably will return for the 2015 sets. If they don't return next year THEN that's when we'd need to fear the worst. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 They were my favourite heroes! I hope they turn evil and take revenge on the other heroes. Quote
Shakar Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I suppose they didn't sell well. Black I can undertstand, but orange is quite odd. Quote
BrickBuilder3213 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Maybe they just aren't liked because they're too stereotypical. (Stringer being American and Nex being Australian) Quote
Aanchir Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Maybe they just aren't liked because they're too stereotypical. (Stringer being American and Nex being Australian) Doesn't really make much sense since Surge's new voice in the "Invasion from Below" episode is very, very similar to Nex's old voice. If you were to go with media-related factors, I'd think more important factors are that Nex and Stringer are largely comic relief characters. Kids love comedy, but when a character is defined by humor and personality rather than by their action potential in a combat situation, it might cut into the sales of action figures of those characters. Personally, if you had to omit heroes for budget reasons, I can sort of see why Stringer might have been omitted. With his heavy use of black it could be easy to confuse him for an "evil" character. It would upset this year's visual language. As for Nex, perhaps the designers thought his colors were too similar to Bulk's. Another possibility is that since Nex and Stringer were both absent from Brain Attack and Nex was absent from the Breakout TV special, the creators figured fans wouldn't notice their absence as much as the characters like Bulk, Rocka, Furno, Surge, and Evo who have played consistently important roles in the past couple years. Infernum Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 While secretly exploring the Villian Factory they both fell into energized protodermis that fell through a wormhole, combining into a being named Goriz, whose alter-ego is the Dark Maker. Quote
davidr Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 energized protodermis that fell through a wormhole You mean energized quaza? ...Ooooor Nex invented a machine that can delete somebodys existence in the universe and accidently used it on himself, the same thing happened to Stringer, when he was looking for some snack in the room, but at the same time he fell on it so he crushed it as he was disappearing. Zenerius Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 You're all wrong. Stringer became a rock star and he lives in a luxurious mansion in Antropolis. On the other hand, Nex has retired and now works as a janitor for the Makuhero Learning Center. Let us all wish them luck in their new lives. Quote

Actually that's all a cover-up so the media doesn't find out that Stringer was smuggling Chi across the Eastern side of the Galaxy for money. Also Nex is now a secretary, nothing wrong about that, he just works right next to the janitors office dummy! But seriously, like I said before, too many new molds in one wave, I'm sure the designers just had to prioritize. Quote

It turns out it was a cover-up, but he's actually smuggling QUAZA. Get your facts right. Freddy BRICKER? More like FREDDY BICKER! Quote
coolcab1 Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 I have conformation on this it is true. Quote

Vinyl Scratch Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I thought Robot Rampage was after the TV episode considering the Heroes recognize the Brains. Quote
vexorian Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Hard drive failure. Disk repair utility failed and it turns out the backups weren't done correctly. Quote

Chro Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 Stringer is not evil? As far as we know, uh, nope. Quote
Zenerius Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Remember when Stringer was Fire Lord? Good times, good times... Speaking of Stringer Lord.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/114043384@N07/12061250943/ Edited January 21, 2014 by Zenerius Quote
