Gunpowder Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi people. My Name is Andrew and im from Essex in the UK I have been a modeller for around 34 years. I have recently become a bit tired of years of gluing and painting. Ive been having a problem for years of part starting stuff , moving on to the next and selling stuff on at a huge loss to raise money for the next project. Just before Christmas my mother in law got out the old lego from when my wife and her brother and sister were children. I picked up a few bricks and i was hooked again! I had a massive tub of lego when i was a kid and various Technic sets. Remember the commercial on the TV for that blue car chassis with all of those moving parts , fantastic! I bought my little 3 year old Daughter some lego city fire engines and she loves them. She cant quite put them together , so shes having Duplo for a while , but it still means more build time for me! To cut a long story short i have just bought 2 technic sets. The pick up tow truck , and the excavator. They seem like the perfect answer to my problems. I have to be creative and building something , my Daughter can play with them when they are done , if she breaks them it doesnt matter. It also frees me from the smells of glues and paints. I hope to have some fun with this forum and the lego itself. Cheers everyone. Quote
