In my experience, it takes a while for a new wave of Friends animal packs to show up at stores. Even my local LEGO brand store doesn't get them right away.

Typically when that happens its because of a conflict where another company holds a game license for that movie or subject. That's why we did not get the Battle for Hoth game as well.

topic, they won't be out until march along with a few other themes like the mixels and juniors stuff.

However it's showing on the release date info sites as being available NOW.

No, the LOTR game wasn't released for other reasons. TLG has shut down its Games department completely. The LOTR, Batman and Chima games were also axed but as they were already in production, they saw a limited release. From the Batman and LOTR games only the Western European version did ever come out. They didn't do the North American or the Eastern European localization.
