Hello everybody!

With the release of Ep 7 slowly approaching, along with the numerous plans Disney has for the Star Wars franchise, I have a strong feeling that LEGO Star Wars is in for a complete overhaul. Not only are we in for a new trilogy of films, an animated series, AND stand-alone spin-offs, but it was also recently announced that, as of 2015, Marvel will be publishing all Star Wars comic books (http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/news/marvel-to-publish-star-wars-comics-in-2015-20140103).

So with all of this new material in store for the Star Wars universe, and LEGO having deals through Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm, there is a likelihood that we could end up seeing sets based on the upcoming ST, Rebels, spin-off films, and comic book series, all in the works for roughly the next 5-7 years.

Do people think that Disney's involvement will force LEGO to change how they develop sets, at what pace they develop them, and at what times they get released? And do you think that this overload of new material will cause a lull in PT/OT sets, and perhaps thats why LEGO has made an effort to update the majority of the sets and characters from the current 6 films to make up for the dry spell ahead?

I fail to see how this is any different than what can be discussed in Future Star Wars Sets. This is all about what you think we'll see in sets.

Moving all posts to that thread...

...and done.
