NevynPA Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) Hi folks! I just re-assembled my 8430, but it didn't go as well as I would have expected - so I'm wondering if some of you can chime in and tell me if I did something wrong. When it came time to add the 6L blue liftarms towards the front of the frame, I found that the 2 pins and the axle that go through them weren't lined up well - and that I had to really, REALLY put some bend on the liftarms to get them to fit. I went back through the instructions, but couldn't find any mistakes in parts or alignment. I'm not happy with it, and was hoping someone else could confirm if they do get forced pretty hard or if I'm a dunce. Thanks! Edited January 4, 2014 by Jim Added images Quote
Polo-Freak Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 The blue Liftarms fitted very easy with no pressure, i think. Quote
NevynPA Posted January 4, 2014 Author Posted January 4, 2014 Thanks for the edit, Jim - I'm still getting used to this place. Polo - I'm DEFINITELY going to have to take it apart and start over. My 3L arms holding the motorcycle head tube brick are touching the bent liftarm. In your pic they're clearly not. Must be off by one hole somewhere down inside the structure... Thanks! Quote
NevynPA Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 Found it. Here's mine: I had the axle for the head tube in the rear hole, not the front. Fixed! Thanks. Quote
