Quite a few nice surprises, me thinks... (but also a few disappointments though...)

Some Chima sets that I actually like! The gorilla-robot/suit for instance. Chima is not my thing (except for some excusive or hard to find parts ofcourse) so I haven't looked into those new sets lately. I like some of the LEGO-Movie sets. And some of the new Animal-Creator sets.

A big disappointment I think is the dropping of the MonsterFighters-line. Maybe Lego is predicting the downfall of the zombie-genre in general. I'm not really into zombies, but thought it was nice to see them in Lego.

Uhmm..... the next CMF series after The LEGO Movie would be "S Series"?

It's interesting to see Max&Nina appear together in the end. However, I think Nina is still lacknig in most Lego Club websites.

errr... 'CMF', 'S Series'..? I'm not into Lego-terminology (yet). Could you explain?

Sorry. Collectible minifigures, though no "collectible" in official catalogue.

I wonder what the acronym will be for the MMO Series? Looks great, thank you for posting. It's great to see better pictures of the Marvel Minifigures and the Creator sets, particularly the new log cabin.

I heard somewhere that it's O Series. :look:

Thanks for the catalogue link, I certainly can't wait to get some of these, hopefully the Simpsons house set will be revealed on the 11th January at Brickfair Alabama?

Why? TMNT only got one page. Ninjago only got 3. Super Heroes had 4 and they just came out with a slew of new sets for 2014. LotR/Hobbit doesn't have any 2014 sets out yet. Actually they only have 4 new sets in the last six months compared to the other themes which have that many new ones from January alone. If Lego were to dedicate more pages to LotR and the Hobbit they would only have 1-2 sets on each page.

Hmm Simpsons houses? Minifigs? That would be fun. Would there be a big enough market? I doubt it, when there isn't a new Simpson-movie coming out real soon... But still, I think I'd buy it instantly.

One page for just three Turtles sets. Are they fading away already? The Lone Ranger is gone. So, no westernthemed Lego anymore?

And... Anyone noticed the ELEVEN(!) pages dedicated to Starwars..?

As long as there are spoilers of summer wave sets, I don't worry about TMNT or Superheros. The others I worry about are: Ninjago doesn't have too much progress even though TLG continue their story, and LotR still have lots of non-physical content but we don't see any more news (though there would be at least the final wave for Hobbit).

You may discuss that in licensed forum. And for Lone Ranger, I personally think TLC can still consider to make own western/pirate themes if there is no film in theater.

Are there spoilers for summerwaves of any of the themes mentioned above? I think you're right about expecting a few new sets from The Hobbit in the near future. I believe these movieseries will keep on being popular for some time. I think discussing the fading away of Lego-themes, licensed or non-licensed can be discussed here as long as it's being told from a Lego-point of view in general. Like, why is it that Lego is dropping a particular theme. And by what theme will it be replaced. As long as this catalog is the starting point of discussion.

I'd love for Lego to have a main western-themed line, like they have for castles or space. So I was very happy that they got the Lone Ranger license... (not that I have any of that line) It had some really nice sets that could have been easily expanded with some cheaper non-licensed western sets. I think we can conclude by Lego dropping the Lone Ranger that cowboys'n'indians just isn't a popular theme amongst the kids nowadays ...yet. :sceptic:

I'm not sure Lone Ranger has achieved the standard of Lego western fans. However, the fact is still that as long as it's not a longeterm film series, the license doesn't mean any future of this generic theme. The Lego Movie also give pirate and western materials (though no western building sets).
