ritztoys Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 You have a great working area .......is this in your house or is this in your Man Cave? Quote
Lundgren Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Well :) it's actually my man cave (office) in the basement in my house. 30" screen and surround sound is nice when building or when I'm 3D modeling on the computer (Catia V5) It's a really good work area for all my "miniature" hobbies like the Lego for example. Half my basement is a mechanicall workshop and the rest is this and laundry room. I'm currently designing my new workshop that I will build next year. It will be 11 meters x 7 meters and 2 stories so the second floor will be my new work area ;) Quote

My work area is very similar..........in the basement with the laundry machines and the mechanicals for the house in the other half. I'm in the process of remodeling my house where the laundry machines will move upstairs and then I get lots of new space to fill with Lego pieces. The new Lego pieces I have for Ingmars' 2nd truck, which you are presently building, are ' screaming ' at me too. ( I'm jealous, yours looks great ) I can't start this MOC until I get at least one of the three rooms I'm working on finished. During my breaks in the construction process, I'm gathering parts for my "painted version "of this beautiful truck, the colors are a secret, but I'll post pictures in Ingmars' blog, when I start building. Lundgren Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Sounds a lot like me! ;) Just finished renovating the first floor in my house and have put in a fireplace and so on and so on! So now I'm taking a little break from it and doing some of my hobbies! Took a pic in my man cave to show you how it looks. When I'm not renovating the house (built in 1939) I do some of this. (sadly i just sold the Blazer) Edited April 3, 2014 by Lundgren Quote
Lundgren Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Yesterday I started working on the trailer for Ingmars truck. It's based (tried to copy) waiting for the BI's on Ingmars lowboy trailer with dolly. Hopefully Ingmar will release some BI's for this soon. No need to comment on the various colors (these were the only parts i had home) Quote
ritztoys Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I didn't recognize the trailer, until now, you will end up having a fantastic looking truck and trailer to display in your home if you keep this up. It seems we're a little similar in life's' pursuits, some of my other activities ( was ) Hang Gliding strapped on top of my Toyota Land Cruiser, as well as formally owning a 500cc Honda Trail Bike. The glider is still with me stored on the ceiling in my garage. ( A conventional type, 32' wingspan x 4' wings, 12' long to rudder, 60lbs. heavy ) Unfortunately I only have one picture of me flying, but I don't know how to get it into this laptop to send to people. Now my 'other' hobbies consist of R/C Helicopters ( for over 11 years ) along with boating and fishing at my Lake house, I have waaaay too many activities, but it keeps the mind sharp. Quote
Kumbbl Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Max i ask you if you have Finishs grazis tow truck? Quote
Lundgren Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Hi Kumbbl, no net yet sadly. I'm missing 6 wheels, 9 pneumatic cylinders and 17 6081 arches in black for the towarm. But the rest is done! Fixed the last electronics last week actually! Today the remaining parts for my US Truck T1 arrived, but I'm going to Germany tomorrow so no build until next week :( Quote
ritztoys Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Lundgren, Is there room to extend the exhaust with Black flexible hose from the bottom elbow? Even if this part 'goes nowhere', it will look better than having nothing on the elbow. I'm hoping to just extend mine forward to help the truck look better from all angles. ( even if this part doesn't make it to the engine ) Quote
Lundgren Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 Humm, I'm almost 100% sure that it's possible. And yes that will be in an improvement on this mighty truck! ;) I ain't home yet so I can't confirm it though, but I will be home later today so I'll see! Quote
Lundgren Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) Yep, works like a charme! ;) Edited April 7, 2014 by Lundgren Quote
ritztoys Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Thanks Lundgren, As I haven't built mine yet, just checking with you if this was possible, and it looks great. It seems we're the only three building this truck. I know that the third builder lives right here in my city, but I didn't get his name. ( He and I discussed the building of this truck at the Lego Show in March ) Quote
Lundgren Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 No worries! You just made my truck look even better when it's done ;) Hehe yes people around me thinks I'm a little crazy spending my money on Lego. But they don't realize the satisfaction I get when I'm in my man cave building these things. I will at least build 2 copies of this truck, this one and one in black, red and lbg. So my copy of Grazis Tow Truck the T2 and the T1 will be in the same color scheme. Quote
Lundgren Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 Have been working on the dolly for the low loader trailer today. Quote
Lundgren Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Today I started my first LDD project ever... darn it's hard to build digitally, this thing only has 209 parts so far and has taken me almost 4 hours to do. I'm having a really hard time to get the parts where the should be, and beacuse its all black it's really hard to se where the contours is. Quote
UniverseBoy Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 That looks nice, hard to build digitally? I find it a lot easier :o. The only downside is you dont know the (what i call them) "rules". Wheight, motor torque etc. Keep up the good work:) Quote

Hi use contrasting colours in LDD to build, you can then change the parts to black later. Quote
Lundgren Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Thanks for the tips! Well yes using another color and changing it later seems like a good idea! I'll try that tomorrow! Quote
Lundgren Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 We'll I ain't much for digital building :( so I ordered a lot of black parts that I think I will make it from so I will start the COE Scania in real bricks instead. I'll be back! :) Quote
ritztoys Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Howdy Lundgren, OK, you asked for more................ The guys are back, talking again................" This truck has a little bit of Bling on it " Quote
Lundgren Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 Love it! Well that's no news haha ;) Well my black edition is just screaming at me, build me!!! But unfortunately it's my turn to renovate the "out room"?? (Don't know if that's correct word?) so it have to stay in the box a little while :( Quote
ritztoys Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) I know exactly how you feel, I just finished painting my new kitchen. New cabinets are next, then I'm changing a former ' dry pantry ' to a 1/2 bathroom, of course building in-between all this construction. Of course that ' could be ' known of the two of four colors............. Edited April 29, 2014 by ritztoys Quote
ritztoys Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Howdy lundgren, Here's some photos just for you...................... Those were very hard to find in that size................... Quote
Lundgren Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Gaaah... I MUST have those chromed pinups!!! :) :) :) I have been away for 3 weeks now (work related) so I'm aming to build my second version next week! Edited May 30, 2014 by Lundgren Quote
Lundgren Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Well, today I started with the trailer for the red US Truck. It'll be a closed refrigerator trailer. Will need lots and lots of red panels! :) Quote
