zouave Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Lately I've gotten a few ideas for Eurobricks. Some of which,I believe could really change Eurobricks. For the good of course.Anyways, I recieved the information that you need to have 1000 posts or more just to bring up an idea.Well directly of course. Is this true?Because I'd like to introduce them myself. Kikuichimonji Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Why would there be a post limit for that? But seriously, is it really worth opening a topic for this? You could've at least mentioned your ideas in your post. It's useless the way it is (and I also think it should be in the Website & Forums forum). Quote
zouave Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Okay, calm down. Here's a few ideas I've had for a while. ONE:Eurobricks Awards-instead of small contests this will be website wide.It will have different awards for each forum. TWO:Guest Pass-When I wasn't a member I was always wanting to post. This would allow a guest to post for 1 day. Quote
Starwars4J Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 ONE:Eurobricks Awards-instead of small contests this will be website wide.It will have different awards for each forum. Awards? Could you expand a bit? And he wasn't being excited...just asking you to explain yourself a bit more. Who told you that crazy 1000 post rule, anyway? *wacko* TWO:Guest Pass-When I wasn't a member I was always wanting to post. This would allow a guest to post for 1 day. There used to be one, however having a guest posting feature would not only circumvent the rules, but allow formerly banned members to post, as well as spammers to clog up the website! Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Not to mention that only allowing a guest to post for one day is technically impossible. The only two ways of doing it - through cookies and/or ip address - are easilly bypassed. Quote

I got the idea long before I joined on.A more specific way to describe it is... Lets say we're on the Y.O.C. forum. A selected group will inspect all the entries. Then they give out the different awards.[best Moc,Most Creativity, ect.] I don't mind if whoever is in charge of this stuff does it.So long as I get credit. P.S. It's kind of like the oscars and should be held on a certain date every year. Quote
Starwars4J Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Well that's an interesting idea, except it's a little impossible. See, we can't even have a general space contest because there are so many factors to consider. Check the Space forums to see what I'm talking about. Since we can't even have a contest about a theme...how could we award things for various different themes? Like I said, it's a nice idea, but the scope is too large. Quote
PSPguy Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Well maybe it could be like "The Best Set of the Year" we hold every year. :-/ Quote
