alex54 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 So here are some pics of minifig versions of the two main houses from Creator set 4956. Just note that those houses are in their beta versions. I only used pieces from this set, because I just have a very small part of my bricks with me (the vital minimum for having a normal life, being an afol, just 5-6 sets...) but I need other parts like small windows and some other bricks in different colours (some red ones). Here the european stylish house: I really love this silver fire helmet *wub* ! And here the US stylish house: But from which set are those minifigs coming from? :-D Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Cafe Corner. :-) Do I get a cookie? :-D PS: Oh, and very nice houses, but I already thought that the Creator houses WERE minifig scale? Quote
zeki Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Nice houses *y* *y* ! I am planing to get my own 4956 this weekend. Did you make both of this houses from one set (Can they be built simonteniusly or do they use the same brick) - I hope you get the question right. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted April 11, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted April 11, 2007 Nice to see how you used this creator set to make these different houses. I favor the US Style house over the European version. Good to know that I'm not the only one thats experimenting with these sets. I'm currently using this set to build a 18th century Caribbean governors house. Quote
phoinix Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 nice job alex! ;-) the us house looks better in minifig scale than the european one i just build my 4956 today and these houses are SO big.. they cant fit in my town.. they are as big as the police department!! and i have seen your city and i know you like the buildings classic minifig scale so this is a good transformation! hey how about you make the cafe corner mini!! that should be fun to see!! *y* Quote
MatthewUSA Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I want to comment on the quote Phoinix made about the size of the houses. I want to say that the size of the house in this set are similar to the houses in the US. Homes here are BIG. We definitly build structures as if land is not an issue. But as we are building these large structures, our towns are beginning to blend together. Our green spaces are shrinking. What I do see happening is very :-(. I would have to say when I bought this set, I saw nothing out of the ordinary about it. Only because I am used to seeing homes this size. I would comment that the European size house looked very small. But that is because I am not used to them. Both your pics looked good. I thought they both were very well done. I also have noticed the minifigs are a scale of their own. I have been able to make vehicles that are 6-wide and fit 2 figs side-by-side. I plan to figure out buildings next. They look good, model on. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Neat little house, but it needs furniture. Quote
simonwillems Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Nice houses, in the smaller versions they still look good. Great work! (Can they be built simonteniusly or do they use the same brick) Funny you say that, all things I make are Simonteniously :-D Simon. Quote

WhiteHexagon Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Nice houses! I can't decide whether I like backless buildings or not though. I have a couple and always find myself trying to hide the fact the they have no back. I prefer the idea of hinged or lift of roof I think. Anyway I have two of these sets on order becuase they are discounted in Germany at the moment :) yipee Peter Quote
alex54 Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 Cafe Corner. :-) Do I get a cookie? :-D PS: Oh, and very nice houses, but I already thought that the Creator houses WERE minifig scale? You get a cookie yes :-P And for thenotion of minifig scale, it's an eternal debate. For me, creator houses are not, they are too big, with a back and... They don't have the same sized like the houses from the 90's. Like phoinix said, the original houses are as big as the police department *wacko* ! Did you make both of this houses from one set (Can they be built simonteniusly or do they use the same brick) - I hope you get the question right. You can'tbuild those two small houses at the same time. You just need few more pieces (archs and windows) which can be find on PaB. Neat little house, but it needs furniture. Yes I know. It's for that I specify that they are beta versions. All my houses are furnished. and i have seen your city and i know you like the buildings classic minifig scale so this is a good transformation!hey how about you make the cafe corner mini!! that should be fun to see!! *y* Yes I *wub* the classic minifig scale... And a small caf Quote
