Rook Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) Too small probably. Micro scale ships to me are pretty hard because without a background or story attached the build themselves are very difficult. That being said using the right selection of bricks on a micro scale ship and make it look like there's tons of details on the ship when in reality it's just the texture of the pieces. In this case all the pieces are smooth so there's little interest beyond just a well built little ship. :/ :) Edited December 16, 2013 by Rook Quote

You can build lots of huge ships, cars, starfighters, trucks, trains, whatever, but no matter how big they are, even if they're one of the biggest builds of the LEGO community in the entire year, if they're not aesthetically appealing, then personally I find them of little interest. However, if you build something extremely small, without any great amount of detail or not, and it is considerably original and aesthetically appealing, then I would personally find that particular build more interesting then a 5000 piece MoC of a ship that simply doesn't look very appealing. That's why as of recent I've been building all these micro ships. They may be small, but in my opinion lots of them look pretty sleek and stylish. :) Edited December 16, 2013 by OBI-WAN37 Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 a 5000 piece MoC of a ship 5000 pieces... that's a small ship But on the subject, I think you should show more pictures, on this one we don't even see the rear. Try to have a little more light when you shot the pictures. And if you have the pieces, maybe you could put your ship on a transparent stand. Quote
mechamike Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I would have added cheese slopes on the forward fuselage OR a wide cheese were the cockpit ends instead of the jumper plate. Three holes is a crowd in this tiny build. I would also use some appropriate sticker to make it a bit more interesting to the eye. Some sticker that puts the ship in a context.. ist it civilian? military? Alien? a racer ? Quote
