Looked at my legos a couple weeks ago and decided my collection was ridiculous enough that I could build anything. I always wanted the ucs falcon. But why build it minifig scale without the interior... So I'm only sorta following the directions. Not really out to make a film accurate model, more of a playset with a sorta accurate room layout.

Still have to finish the front cargo doors, cargo elevator and escape pod mechanisms. Then build the plating everywhere.

Im most happy with how the hyperdrive looks, and fitting the seats in cockpit.

Hi eberkain, and welcome to Eurobricks!

This is looking very impressive, well done

I've always been very fond of the original version, but it's a shame that it didn't have a decent interior. My only concern is that have you made the frame strong enough; the original is very heavy when it's completed! If you're after inspiration both marshal banana (link) and Brickplumber (link) have made interiors for it.

Thanks for the welcome!

Ive seen a few other interiors for this model, they are all neat. I have one pic in there where i show the framing for the floor plate, it has a technic border that locks back to the top frame with vertical beams. Its as strong as it can be without interconnecting the top edges in some way, which would make it harder to use as a playset. Ive had to flip it over a number of times and it seems very sturdy.

Trying to figure out how to make the cargo elevator right now, im thinking some kind of telescoping thing.

Very nice, it's a tough thing to build because of the bending risks of the entire structure, but it's worth testing.

Waiting to get my UCS falcon box (got it cheap) to re built the falcon again (I did it on Bl first), your work is and will inspire me, no offense:)

Nice work so far eberkain...my dark ages ended to late to grab the UCS Falcon at retail (still my only pet hate of Lego - the stupid mark-up of retired kits and parts....*sigh* must not rant :P) I like your interior work and the cockpit is well designed and more suitable than the original. Nice grille work on the floors too :)
