jonwil Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 (edited) I have an idea for a Cuusoo set that would include all the parts required to build 1 of n different models (ala the Creator sets). Does anyone know/can someone find out if (with the recent rule changes) such product ideas are allowed? BTTF was a 3-in-1 model but the changes between each model were minor. Mine would be multiple models such that each model was a total rebuild (i.e. build first model, disassemble it, build second, disassemble it, build third, etc) More specifically my idea is for 4 or so designs of 6-wide City style car (sedan, hatchback, UTE/pickup and 1 more maybe) where many of the parts are shared between each design. (wheels, wheel arches, windscreens, roof parts, front and rear end parts, doors, basic plates/slopes/bricks/tiles, minifig drivers etc) Done right I think it would be attractive to those looking for a nice variety of generic civilian cars to populate their towns. Faefrost Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 That should be fine. It is a reasonable single set, brick built, with no new parts. Heck a 2 or 3 distinct builds using the same set of bricks is probably a plus at review. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Make it clear that it is one set and has enough parts to make only 1 of the 3 models. Quote
Faefrost Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 If you can pull it off it's the sort of thing that the reviewers would probably love. Quote
Aanchir Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Make it clear that it is one set and has enough parts to make only 1 of the 3 models. Or if it has enough parts to make all three, make that clear. The rule is meant to prohibit projects for more than one SET, but one set that includes multiple models is perfectly fine, and there are many such sets released on a regular basis (for instance, a set with a building and a vehicle).
