Hi everyone.

I would like to show you my christmas train for running around the tree this year. No fancy part usage just a colourful train for the tree

I tried to base it on the old style 12v locomotives from the 80s. I was rather lacking inspiration for my train this year as I try to do a new one every year. The last wagon with Santa and the Elf is definitely my favourite.

Check out a short video here.

Thanks for looking and please let me know what you think.

I feel like a numpty and maybe cos the night is getting on but I can't seem to upload a picture to the post....

Very cool little build! I too love the last wagon, with that rotating tree, that's a fantastic little feature!! But the engine is cool too, with the light brick(?) and the Christmas colours!!

And on a side note, I'm surprised your dog wasn't chasing the train round and round!

Anyway, seasons greetings and happy building

My 10 year old daughter made one using parts of the Hogwarts Express I motorized and one of the cars of a maersk train where we replaced the blues with reds.

She took some pictures, see if I can upload them. We tracked it around the christmas tree.

Thank you.

It is the old 12v light brick inside the boiler.

My dog doesn't chase anything unless it is a ball or a stick and then only when we are outside :classic:

Nice job...I'm in the middle of my Xmas tree display + train! I like your two cars with the Beatles and Santa :D

I never thought it was the Beatles but since they have always been my favourite band maybe it was my subconscious putting them together.

That is an interesting boiler on the locomotive, to my eye it has a steam punk shape to it.

I couldn't find hardly any yellow slopes so just used these pieces and I like the way it looks.

Hey, it's great! Love the colors. Definitely The Beatles; Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Yellow Train!

All you need is Lego, all together now...
