jfbat Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) This weekend I was able to buy set 60007 High Speed Chase at a bargain. The 4x4 was very much to my liking (even more so after some modding), the supercar less so. Even after some modding it just didn't do it for me. So I decided to break it up. As said: I liked the Police 4x4 very much. And because breaking up the supercar would provide me with a nice supply of red bricks, I got the idea to build a Fire Brigade 4x4, loosely based on that Police 4x4. The bricks from the supercar were not enough to realise this, so I also broke up the Fire Brigade car from 60023 Starter Set, which I thought to be a bit bland anyway. This provided me with the much needed bonnet, cabin roof and doors for the back. Together with some stuff I had lying around, an afternoon of trying, building and rebuilding resulted in this: Hope you like it! Edited December 12, 2013 by jfbat Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Excellent small rescue vehicle 'jfbat'......my only suggestion would be to replace the dark bluey grey parts on the sides of the truck with white.....might flow a little better, but that's just the tiger's opinion ? Brick On 'jfbat' ! Quote

Chilis Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I think its fine just the way it is ;) At least as long the rims (?) are the same color. Love the front of the car. Quote
gazumpty Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Nice job :) I like the off-road detailing and the front end design. I agree with LT here...the white should carry through instead of the grey. Also I feel the headlights need more presence, especially on a rescue 4x4. Quote
eurotrash Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Looks good! I like the grille and the front end, but I agree with the consensus about the White for Grey stripe. More please! Quote
jfbat Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the comments! As said the white instead of bley grey was something I thought about too. The lighting issue was also something I was tinkering with in my mind. Well, some slight rebricking has lead to this: Oh, and because it seems like this will be a keeper, I also put some stickers on (have tons of them lying about, usually only apply them until I'm pretty sure I won't break the set up).
