powering an RCX (RIS) mindstorm brick

Hi

i saw in a document that it is possible to powering a RCX mindstorm (yellow one) by a jack plug in?

I've a 1.0 and a 2.0 and didn't see any jack plug in? can you help me to find it?

I think only RCX 1.5 came with the jack plug-in. You can get one fairly cheap on eBay for maybe $15-20. Make sure it has no battery leak/damage.

Only the full RIS box was named 1.5, the RCX brick of that box was named 1.0. Early RCX (in RIS 1.0 kit) had a power jack, and later, the ones sold on Education market had one too.

I won't say it's impossible, but considering the low price on Bricklink (http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=45580) I doubt it's worth the trouble. Otherwise you can try this kind of solution:

I was looking for but in france it is more expensive than in US for example.
