Maaboo the Witch Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Hello again Eurobricks! I got 8439 recently - brilliant set, a total challenge to build and a great end result. However, I've noticed that the pneumatic valve that controls the loader's bucket lifting arms lifts the arms in the wrong direction corresponding to the stickers on either side. When pressed to go up, the arms go down, and vice versa. I've attached all the hoses correctly, and I just have no idea what's going on! I have seen videos on YouTube where the valves seem to make up their own mind which way they go, but what's up with that? Can someone shed light on this issue, please? Quote
DrJB Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 can you simply swap the hoses on the valve (not the middle one), and see what happens ? Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Yeb just switch the hoses around, you must of made a mistake while building it. Quote

Rockbrick Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I had the same issue I think the instructions are wrong so I swapped the hoses round (not the middle one) and all was OK Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 Yeb just switch the hoses around, you must of made a mistake while building it. I really didn't. I've checked the hoses and they're all correct. Are the instructions wrong on where to put the stickers? I had the same issue I think the instructions are wrong so I swapped the hoses round (not the middle one) and all was OK I just said that... looks like they are indeed! Quote
Rockbrick Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 perhaps the instructions are a bit easily misunderstood on that section - no big deal and getting things wrong makes you learn how the system works and helps learning.... Quote
