Made during last years lego.com competition with a povray snow addon, click pictures to download 1920x1080 images, use the images as you like or cover your own creation in festive snow, the procedure is fairly straightforward and I'll help out if necessary.

Uploaded some ready made files below, place makesnow.inc in the same folder as your .pov file, then copy and paste everything from snow.txt to the bottom of the your .pov file and render, change snow settings to suit.
