minifig_erik Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Hi folks I've been thinking about starting to review some lego but I've got a few questions that are bugging me. It would seem to be hard to become a reviewer in the UK as sets always seem to come out months earlier in the US, once you've read one review do you read others too. There are lots of people already reviewing and whilst I don't want to compete with them I think that once a set has been available for months would people still look up multiple reviews The second thought I'm struggling with is video or printed review. I love writing and so I would favour that but do most people not just watch YouTube videos now. I'd love to hear any thoughts or ideas you guys have. Quote

tomdobs55 Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 First question, I really only read the reviews posted here so I can't really answer that question. As for your other question, I much prefer a well written review that I cab digest in 5 minutes over a 10-15 minute YouTube video. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Yes I still look up reviews months later after release when I am debating to buy a set. And please, do written out reviews. I hate Youtube reviews. Quote
Legoman of War Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Yes I still look up reviews months later after release when I am debating to buy a set. And please, do written out reviews. I hate Youtube reviews. I concur. Pictures are much better LMW Quote
Paul B Technic Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I look up reviews many months or years after a set is released. I also prefer written reviews over YouTube videos. Quote
