edsmith0075 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Greetings crew, Something that has always bothered me about the LEGO Maersk locomotive is that it is an SD-40 but only has 2 axles per drive. In real life they have 3 axels per drive unit. I would like some advice on modifying this to match the real life loco. I plan to bump out the front and back and make the steps a little thinner. The challenge arrives with keeping the PF motors but adding an additional axel to the setup. So what I need help with are design ideas that can take a 2 axle PF motor and adding a 3rd axle. I have been browing flickr for ideas but figured this crew knows more resources and experience. Thanks in advance Ed Quote
